Welcome to the blog of ALG 7 2009.

We are a group of Melbourne University students, from various faculties and year levels, taking part in the Student Ambassador Leadership Program in 2009.

SALP consists of:
  • Weekly seminars on topics ranging from identifying goals and motivations, leadership styles to project management and guest speakers.
  • 20 Hours of University service.
  • 40 Hours of community service.
  • An Action-Learning Group Project meeting a community need.
  • 2 Camps designed to develop leadership skills.
  • A project management workshop to make our projects the best they can be.
  • A SALP Symposium, a conference attended by various university staff and community organisations, where we will present our projects.
For more information or if you want to get involved, visit the SALP website.

We've set up this blog to keep a record of our time in the program, chart our progress and show anyone who is interested what participating in SALP is all about. Check back regularly for project and meeting updates, photos from SALP events (including the upcoming camp) and lessons we've learned along the way. Also coming soon will be bios of the members of ALG 7 so you can get to know us a bit better.

If you have any queries about SALP or what we're about email us at: alg72009@gmail.com
